Chinese Laundry Blues
This is the song that really made George famous and of course produced a string of Mr Wu songs to follow it. Recorded July 1st 1932. Written by Jack Cottrell, the song was originally known as "Chinese Blues" and was offered to George in 1930 but he rejected it at this time.
I Blew A Little Blast On My Whistle
Written by George Formby, I have heard it said that this is the only song that George really did write himself, according to Brendan Ryan's book "A Catalogue Of His Work" Beryl Formby related that on an over-night journey to London for a recording session, George realised that he was a song short, and composed this song before they reached their destination.
