WESTHOUGHTON GFS TO PLAY AT

PARBULELE UKULELE FESTIVAL

This event has been running very successfully for some

years as a wooden uke festival. Additionally this year, the

G.F.S. has been invited to take part with their uke-banjos..

Our contribution will be various spots between the hours

of 11.00am and 4.00pm on Saturday 31 July & Sunday 1

August, 2021.

The whole village is involved and it’s a big affair. As it’s a vil-

lage I should mention that there isn’t much else to do other

than eat, drink and enjoy the music. Please have a look at

I’m informed by the organiser that the request for our invit-

ation came from a Formby fan who happens to be the pro-

prietor of the pub/restaurant where we are to perform.

Adequate, outdoor cover is provided in case of inclement

weather. We’ll have three teams with about six+ players in

each team to alternate the playing sessions. The off-duty

teams will therefore have time to wander around the vil-

lage and enjoy the other acts.

This is a great opportunity to showcase the GFS and attract

some publicity.
