Membership comes in two categories. SINGLE MEMBER and NOMINATED FAMILY MEMBER
Basically Nominated Family Member was created so that members of the same family or 'common law partners' could join the GFS for a reduced rate. The NFM member has exactly the same rights and free admission as the full member but does not receive the quarterly magazine.
