50th Anniversary Cigarette Cards
To mark the 50th anniversary of the death of George Formby, two sets of cigarette cards have been created
and are available for sale. The first set are photographs of George Formby and there are 24 in the collection. They are available from The London Cigarette Company and are priced at £16.00 for the set. The size of the cards
is 89 x 64mm. Each card carries a description of GF on the reverse. Click the link for more information.
The second set of cards is a collection of 10 cards with descriptions on the reverse, but these cards are unique in that they have been hand-drawn by artist Phil Neil. The size of the cards is 68 x 36mm and they can be purchased for £5.50 per set of £18.00 mounted in a frame. Mr. Neil specialises in hand-drawing a range of football personalities and created the Formby collection earlier this year. His work can be viewed at the links below.
