The September Convention will take place on the weekend of September 16 - 17 in the Lancastrian Suite of the Imperial Hotel, North Promenade, Blackpool FY1 2HB THE GFS SHOP WILL BE IN ATTENDANCE THROUGHOUT THE WEEKENDSATURDAY EVENTS

THE 56TH ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
This will take place on Sunday morning 17 September at 10:30. Admittance is limited to paid-up members (from 01 July 2017) of The George Formby Society only and no one will be admitted once the meeting commences at 10:30. Members should ensure that they have their membership card with them.ELECTION OF COMMITTEE MEMBERS FOR THE YEAR 2017 - 2018.
Each year at the AGM, the whole committee will stand down and seek re-election. All committee positions are open to any fully paid up member who wishes to be nominated. There are three definite vacancies this year, Vice President, Assistant Secretary and Committee Member. Anyone wishing to stand for any of these positions should ensure their nomination form is received by the Secretary no less than two weeks prior to the AGM. Any other proposals must be received in writing not less than seven days before the meeting.
