It is unfortunately my duty to post yet another disappointing message regarding

our Blackpool conventions.

As you will all know, the March convention was cancelled some time ago.

At a recent committee meeting it was decided that due to the ongoing covid crisis

and the roadmap timetable issued by the government, the society has no choice

but to cancel the June convention as well.

Obviously I need not tell you how disappointing this is although it will come as

no suprise to any of us. The committee felt it only right to inform you all of this

situation now, thereby avoiding further disappointment later on.

On a brighter note, it looks as though things are gradually improving

nationally so fingers crossed a convention will come our way before long. Stay

safe and healthy and lets make most of the down time to improve our playing!
