Paul kenny
Paul Kenny continued his radio adventures with an appearance on local Westhoughton radio station, Radio Howfen. Paul chatted about his recent appearance at the Royal Albert Hall in front of HM The Queen when the Society appeared on the occasion of the Queen’s 92nd birthday. Paul played three songs on his banjo-uke and did a good job in promoting the name of George Formby. Well done Paul, this is what the George Formby Society is all about, making sure that George’s name is constantly in the public eye. Paul has been a member of the Society for twenty one years and is regarded as one of the top players within the group. He is always to be found at the national meetings in Blackpool and his local meeting in Westhoughton. He also travels to both branches of the Yorkshire Ukulele Circle at Mirfield and Wakefield. The other love is Paul’s life (apart from his mum) is Bamber Bridge FC where Paul is one of their most loyal supporters. You can listen to the edited version of Paul’s appearance on the player on the right.
