After a successful appearance on the Royal Albert Hall for the Queens birthday, the George Formby Society has now been invited to play on the stage of the Opera House at Blackpool.The Opera House is one of the most prestigious theatres within the UK and of course we would be following in the footsteps of George himself who performed there on the opening night of the newly constructed theatre on 14 June 1939.If you would like to perform on this 2,920 seater venue here are the details.It’s on April 6th 2019 at 19:30The show stars Jim Davidson,Anita Harris,Mick Miller,Freddy “Parrotface” Davies, the Tower Orchestra,a pipe band and the George Formby Society.As the whole event is to raise money for charity there are no free tickets and nowhere to stand at the side of the stage so we have 3 options
1. PLAY OUR 3 SONGS THEN LEAVE THE THEATRE (No ticket needed for this option)
2. PLAY OUR 3 SONGS THEN RETURN TO YOUR ALLOCATED SEAT (DRESS CIRCLE)
3. COME TO WATCH AS AN AUDIENCE MEMBER.
All tickets are £30 eachThe George Formby Society will dress as we did in London with black trousers for males and females. White shirts with black bow ties for men and a white blouse for the ladies.The places for the show are now all filled and the offer is now closed
