GFS President Andy Poppleton appeared on Radio Lancashire this evening (Thursday 28/07/2022) to chat about the forthcoming Morecambe event plus the benefits of being a member of the GFS. He was accompanied by GFS members Cassie Morris-Dalton, Dennis and Debbie Lee, John Taylor and Peter Jetson. The group along with Andy played a couple of songs live in the studio and Cassie and John also spoke during the interview. The programme went out through the transmitters of BBC Radio Lancashire, BBC Radio Merseyside and BBC Radio Cumbria and the interviewer was John Gillmore. The catchment area was basically the North West of England but with the show being also transmitted via the internet, the listening figures for the twenty-one-minute interview must have been very impressive. The members who visited the studio to talk and play did a great job. Publicity like this, a twenty-one-minute interview is priceless and will hopefully boost the attendance in Morecambe and the September convention in Blackpool and hopefully will recruit new members..
