John Walley has decided to sell George Formby’s ‘When I”m

Cleaning Windows Uke’ from the film “Keep Your Seats

Please”.

This iconic instrument has been in John’s possession since

1961.

John explains ‘I’m 84 years old next birthday and have no one

to leave it to and I don’t want Gill to be burdened with the

sale.

I’m hoping that a genuine Formby fan will eventually buy it.

Last year it was given an auction estimate of £15,000 by

Hansons but they said it could go higher because of the

extra-ordinary provenance.’
