Once again, the GFS is featured on national television when Chairman of the Society Dennis Lee, accompanied by Kevin Blanchfield and Anthony Mason starred in the Friday evening screening of the popular documentary "AIRLINE" produced by London Weekend Television and screened on the ITV network. They were filmed singing and playing "Leaning On A Lampost" at the booking-in desk and then the plane was shown taking off to the accompaniment of the three travellers with the rousing cheers of fellow travellers in the background. The GFS website has learned exclusively that Easy Jet's bookings have increased dramatically after the screening and many passengers are insisting that they receive the same ukulele treatment on future flights. Maybe for the sake of in-flight comfort, Easy Jet Airlines should consider screening George Formby's epic film "It's In The Air" for future flights?
