A new CD release

A new compact disc featuring George Formby's 1951 West End success, Zip Goes A Million is to be released shortly. The disc contains rare recordings of the show which have been restored by STAGE DOOR RECORDS, a company that specialises in releasing musical productions from the West End and Broadway. Zip Goes A Million was one of George Formby's greatest triumphs until his health gave way when he suffered a heart attack in 1951 and had to retire from the show after a six month run in the West End. Popular comedian, Reg Dixon took over from George. I am happy to present some audio samples from the collection. The quality of the recordings is stunningly good, I have never heard George Formby in such audio quality. This release is limited to 500 copies and I urge Formby fans to get their order in sooner rather than later!
