Leaning On A Lampost
Zoom host Matthew Richards has released a new Zoom video to celebrate the Royal Jubilee weekend and once again he has done a sterling job in taking on such a responsibility. Forty two screens gathered to create the clips in their homes for then Matt to edit and synchronise into the clip that can be seeing below on on Youtube. In the first of the three clips for When I’m Cleaning Windows twenty five screens attended. In the second clip for Blackpool Rock the number had risen to forty five screens and for this latest clip, a good forty two screens attended. Now that we appear to be leaving the pandemic behind us, life is getting back to something like normal, not withstanding raging inflation and the Ukraine War! Conventions and branch meetings are also now back and well established again but nevertheless, the George Formby Virtual Thrash group made their presences felt and kept the GFS in the news when there was nothing else happening. It is nice to know that considering how zoom attendances are falling, we can still get something like this together to remind people not just about the the group, but also about the GFS and of course, never forgetting George Formby himself who was born 118 years ago this week on 26 May 1904.
