Dennis Lee
Dennis has been a member for over thirty years and has always involved himself in GFS activities. Originally he assisted Dennis Mitchell as an assistant concert organiser but also in 1994 he was running his own North Wales GFS branch. In that same year, Dennis was organising the "Up and Comers" concert at the Blackpool conventions.. In 1996 Dennis had a new title and was now the "Official Archivist" for the Society and by September of that year, he had also joined the committee as Vice- Chairman. In 1998 Dennis was Chairman of the Society. By the beginning of the millennium, Dennis uprooted and moved to Cyprus and by 2002 he was soon running the Paphos - Cyprus branch of the GFS. 2011 and Dennis was back in the UK, and back attending the Blackpool conventions and again organising the "Up and Comers" concerts. Since then, Dennis has been involved in the very successful running of the Llandudno Victorian weekends and is also heavily involved with the Westhoughton branch of the GFS. Now Dennis is the Vice-President of the GFS and if anyone cares to pour over back issues of The Vellum, they will find proof-positive that the award of Honorary membership is well earned and well deserved. I have known Dennis and enjoyed his friendship all my Society life and I am so happy that he now, so deservedly shares the same honorary status as myself and my wife Kathryn. Dennis, we both send you our sincere congratulations on your recognition and truly well earned award of Honorary Member. PP 05/07/2022
