What more could you ask for? Another George Formby release
(his second that year), the lovely Googie Withers, plenty of
action and - it all takes place around a brewery - lovely, get the
beer in!
George sings three of his best songs and the film is definitely
up there with the best of them. The familiar face of Garry Marsh
helps to make this one a winner! The uke solo in 'Fanlight
Fanny' is far superior to the one that George recorded for the
release of the hit record.
This film was one of three that were later released in BluRay
format by Network Distributing. Sadly the company liquidated in
May 2023
